Rosenblatt TR, Vail D, Saroj N, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for providing an updated estimate of the incidence and prevalence of the foremost retinal diseases in the U.S. A retrospective study of the Vestrum Health Database assessing eyes with diagnoses of wet or dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic macular edema, diabetic retinopathy, branch or central retinal vein occlusion (BRVO; CRVO) from January 2014 to December 2019 across 58 retina practices. These diseases involved most cases of U.S. retina practice, with growing annual incidences, based on a diverse database. The most frequent diagnosis is AMD, followed by diabetic eye disease.
