Epstein D, et al. - Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) as a predictor of early adverse outcomes in patients hospitalized due to acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive lung disease (AECOPD), was assessed in this study. Increased RDW was identified as an independent negative prognostic factor related to adverse outcomes after hospitalization due to AECOPD.
