Increased non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in children and young adults with Turner syndrome is not explained by BMI alone

Kelley JC, et al. – The physicians undertook this study to analyze non–high–density lipoprotein cholesterol (non–HDL–C) patterns in pediatric and young adult females with Turner syndrome (TS). They found adverse non–HDL–C levels in children and adolescents aged 8Â17 years with TS, compared to the general adolescent population. However, the prevalence of high non–HDL–C was not fully explained by body mass index (BMI).
