Vaseghi H, et al. - The bi-fold aim of this trial was to gauge and compare peripheral blood mitochondrial DNA copy number (mtDNAcn) and oxidative DNA damage byproducts (8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine; 8-OHdG) in patients with vitiligo and healthy controls (HCs). The data displayed that an increase in mtDNAcn and oxidative DNA damage could be involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo.
