Marti M, et al. - This trial constituted the identification of the incidence rate and risk factors for unexplained visual loss related to silicone oil endotamponade used during primary repair of macula-sparing rhegmatogenous retinal detachments. The findings underscored the necessity of sufficient control of IOP during silicone oil endotamponade for primary retinal detachment repair for reducing the probability of vision loss.
