Chu LM, et al. – Researchers sought to assess diabetes risk and post–diabetes adverse events in patients with stroke. They found that stroke not only caused neurological defects but also evoked diabetes and a plethora of associated medical, psychological and social impacts. Clinicians must be aware of these findings and take account of these when assessing and treating stroke patients.
