Bednarczyk JM, et al. – This study assessed if fluid therapy guided by dynamic assessment of fluid responsiveness versus standard care improves clinically relevant outcomes in adults admitted to the ICU. Findings demonstrated that goal–directed therapy guided by the assessment of fluid responsiveness seemed to be related to attenuated mortality, ICU length of stay, and duration of mechanical ventilation in adult patients admitted to intensive care who needed acute volume resuscitation.
