Daoud Y, et al. - Researchers aimed at assessing the frequency and type of incidental findings and their need for follow-up on abdominal computed tomography (CT) in patients at a pediatric trauma center. In this study, there were nearly one-third of patients who had at least one radiographic finding unrelated to their injury. Of these, more than two-thirds required no additional evaluation, but some form of further work-up seemed necessary for nearly one-third of patients.
