Incidence and risk factors of post-operative neurological decline after complex adult spinal deformity surgery: Results of the Scoli-RISK-1 Study

Fehlings MG, et al. - The risk factors for the postoperative neurological motor decline were identified in cases that underwent complex adult spinal deformity (ASD) surgery. The post-operative neurological decline was noted to be experienced by 23% of patients who underwent complex ASD surgery. Results suggested age, coronal deformity angular ratio (DAR), and lumbar osteotomy as the main contributing factors.
