Zhang Y, et al. - The incidence and risk factors of poor clinical outcomes were comprehensively inspected by the authors, after cervical surgery for cervical spinal cord injury in patients with global or segmental cervical kyphosis. Advanced age, low preoperative Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score, and cervical instability exhibited a close connection with a poor surgical outcome in the study cohort. The yielded data, nevertheless, did not indicate that the type of cervical kyphosis exerted an impact on the clinical outcome of surgery.
