The Bone & Joint Journal Nov 13, 2019
Park JS, et al. - The electronic medical records of 338 people who underwent surgical treatment for the metastatic spinal disease were retrospectively analyzed to assess the incidence and prognosis of individuals with spinal metastasis as the initial manifestation of malignancy (SM-IMM). The enrolled patients were divided into two groups—the SM-IMM group and spinal metastasis group. Moreover, an acceptable prognosis with surgical treatment was noted in the SM-IMM group.
