Shah A, et al. - An analysis was carried out of the disease burden of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), which was a common dose-limiting side effect of neurotoxic chemotherapy. Data illustrated a high incidence of CIPN in the first 2 years following incident exposure to neurotoxic chemotherapeutic agents. Additionally, its correlation with prominent pain symptomatology and accompanied long-term opioid use was also brought to light.
