Ikutomo H, et al. - Researchers aimed to determine the incidences and circumstances associated with the falls in patients before and following total hip arthroplasty (THA). They also compared the post-THA cases to the subjects in an age-matched control group. During the first year following surgery, women who underwent THA depicted an increased risk of falls. In order to prevent falling in post-THA women, physicians ought to recommend preventive measures.
