Improved quantification of myelin water fraction using joint sparsity of T2* distribution
Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Dec 26, 2019
Chen Q, et al. - Experts conducted a prospective study on nine healthy individuals in order to enhance the quantification of myelin water content by utilizing nonnegative jointly sparse (NNJS) optimization. In human data, the mean values of myelin water fraction produced by NNJS in various regions were constant with former studies. Quantitative outcomes of both simulated and human data revealed that NNJS gave a more probable estimation in contrast with the NNLS-based algorithms. Moreover, the relative COV index could verify the visual benefits of NNJS in spatial consistency. Thus, the suggested algorithm could enhance the quantification of myelin water content.
