Improved endothelial function after short-term therapy with evolocumab

Journal of Clinical Lipidology Mar 14, 2018

Maulucci G, et al. - Whether treatment with proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors may improve endothelial function assessed by brachial artery vasoreactivity test, was investigated herein. Subjects with increased cardiovascular risk could exhibit improved endothelial function subsequent to two months of treatment with evolocumab 140 mg. Also, it was noted that the improvement in endothelial function was proportional to low-density lipoprotein reduction.
