Wollinga T, et al. - In a large oncology network in the Netherlands, researchers evaluated implementation of laparoscopic hysterectomy (LH) for endometrial carcinoma/cancer (EC). They observed that in 10 years, implementation of laparoscopic hysterectomy for early-stage EC increased from 11 to 85%. Laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy often preceded implementation of total laparoscopic hysterectomy. The implementation was faster in teaching hospitals.
