Infant Behavior and Development Oct 14, 2017
Mindell JA, et al. - This study effectuated an inquiry of the nightly change in infant sleep and maternal perceptions following the implementation of a bedtime routine. The findings disclosed that the sleep disturbances in infants and toddlers could be rapidly ameliorated within just a few nights after the implementation of a consistent bedtime routine, with the inclusion of a bath, massage, and quiet activities. The potential mechanisms behind such fast improvements in sleep, such as reduced household chaos or physiological changes (e.g. core body temperature, cortisol) ought to be additionally explored.
