Impaired secretion of active GLP-1 in patients with hypertriglyceridaemia: A novel lipotoxicity paradigm?

Wang X, et al. - Researchers performed this study to explore the effect of lipotoxicity on Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) secretion. In this study, they noticed an association of impaired GLP-1 secretion with hypertriglyceridaemia and diabetes. This association was more obvious in hypertriglyceridaemic patients with diabetes.
