Hreinsdottir J, et al. - The purpose of this research was to determine the possible predictive factors for visual problems at 6.5 years among those born very preterm. Ophthalmological problems, with the inclusion of subtle dysfunctions, were discovered at 6.5 years of age among children born preterm. It was also determined that retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), early brain injury, and impaired cognitive function around 2.5 years aided in speculating later ophthalmological dysfunctions.
