Impact of unprotected left main percutaneous coronary intervention on long-term clinical outcomes: A large single-center study
Coronary Artery Disease May 04, 2019
Xu L, et al. - In this study including prospectively collected 10,724 consecutive Chinese patients undergoing contemporary percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) treatment from January 2013 to December 2013, researchers determined how 2-year clinical outcomes were influenced by unprotected left main (ULM) coronary artery disease. For patients undergoing ULM PCI and non-ULM PCI, they compared 2-year clinical outcomes. Findings revealed higher baseline clinical risks and poorer prognosis during 2-year follow-up in ULM PCI patients. However, ULM PCI did not remain an independent risk factor of any clinical adverse events, following multivariate analysis.
