Domínguez-Muñoz JE, et al. - A retrospective analysis was conducted to determine the impacts of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT) on survival in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer. This study was conducted on one hundred sixty patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer. The findings demonstrated that PERT in patients with pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI) was correlated with longer survival compared with those not receiving PERT, particularly in those experiencing significant weight loss in patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer.
