Lee DY, et al. - The impact of systemic inflammation on the relationship between insulin resistance and mortality risk was investigated in apparently healthy adults. Irrespective of the insulin-resistance status, systemic inflammation could be used to stratify the subjects according to the all-cause and cancer-related mortality risks. This tendency was found to be most pronounced in cancer-related mortality.
