Weitzner E, et al. - This work was planned to assess the impact of patient age on clinical features, serologic test reactivity and long-term outcome of culture-confirmed early Lyme disease. As per findings, older age at the time of diagnosis of early Lyme disease seemed not impacting the initial clinical features or long-term outcome of this infection. Not unexpectedly, during long-term follow-up, older patients indicated more comorbidities.
