Impact of innovative pelvic floor muscle training on quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) in women with stress urinary incontinence treated by duloxetine
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Jun 25, 2021
Svihra J, Hagovska M, Breza J, et al. - Conducted as part of the DULOXING study, this analysis was undertaken to determine the influence of innovative pelvic floor muscle training (iPFMT) on Quality-Adjusted Life Years (QALYs) in women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI) treated by duloxetine. Both the control group and the experimental group received oral duloxetine treatment (40 mg BID). The experimental group underwent iPFMT with lumbopelvic stabilization in addition. Women with stress urinary incontinence had a statistically significant increase in the number of QALYs and reduction in the degree of urinary incontinence in correlation with undergoing combination treatment with duloxetine and iPFMT.
