van Deursen AMM, et al. - This study was designed to analyze the alterations in community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) hospitalization rates in all age-groups in the Netherlands after the introduction of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV). As a result of PCV introduction, a decline in CAP hospitalizations was reported in young children, however, in other age-groups, no clear impact of PCV was evident on CAP hospitalizations.
