HPB Jun 10, 2021
Joshi R, Thomas M, Patkar S, et al. - This study was undertaken to investigate compliance with Enhanced Recovery Pathway (ERP) elements and explore its impact on postoperative outcomes. Between February 2014 and 2019, researchers designed a prospective study including elective gallbladder cancer surgery. Compliance with ERP was 84.6% (53.8-100%) in 408 patients. The findings illustrate safety and efficacy of enhanced recovery pathways in gallbladder cancer. It was shown that high compliance with the pathway was associated with significantly improved postoperative outcomes following gallbladder cancer surgery.
