Patel N, et al. – In this research, the incremental effect of diabetes on the incidence of heart failure (HF) in individuals with ischemic heart disease (IHD) was evaluated. It was showed that those with diabetes had a substantially higher incidence of HF than those without diabetes among the participants with myocardial infarction (MI). Based on these outcomes, practitioners should target greater attention on patients with diabetes and previous MI in order to potentially prevent incident HF.
