Impact of COVID‐19 pandemic on Parkinson´s disease: A cross‐sectional survey of 568 Spanish patients
Movement Disorders Aug 14, 2020
García DS, Oreiro M, Pérez P, et al. - Researchers sought to determine if and how Spanish Parkinson Disease (PD) patients have been impacted by the COVID‐19 pandemic. Patients were given an anonymous online survey with 95 questions to obtain data for this descriptive, observational, cross‐sectional study. Analysis was performed on 568 (99.6%) valid responses (mean age 63.5±12.5 years; 53% females). Findings suggest that the COVID‐19 pandemic was seen with concern and responsibility by Spanish PD patients. Worsening of symptoms was reported in more than half of these patients during confinement.
