Ito S, et al. - Whether baseline thrombocytopenia is associated with ischemic, bleeding and mortality risk after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), was investigated. Higher risk for post-PCI bleeding events and all-cause death, but not for ischemic events was reported in patients with baseline thrombocytopenia, even in those with mild baseline thrombocytopenia.
