Impact of balloon pre-dilatation on hemodynamics and outcomes after transcatheter aortic valve implantation with the self-expanding CoreValve prosthesis
The American Journal of Cardiology Mar 14, 2018
Rogers T, et al. - This study was designed to shed light on the effect of pre-dilatation on prosthesis hemodynamics and clinical outcomes of subjects undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) with a self-expanding prosthesis. Findings demonstrated that an acceptable safety profile was maintained and still desired and consistent prosthesis hemodynamics was achieved by performing direct implantation without pre-dilatation when performing TAVI with the self-expanding CoreValve device.
