Imaging of tangential traction types in lamellar macular holes
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology Nov 23, 2017
Acquistapace A, et al. - This research encompassed the identification of the best imaging procedure for the definition of tangential tractions generated by epiretinal membranes in lamellar macular holes. Successful assessment of tangential traction associated with epiretinal membranes in lamellar macular holes could be undertaken via optical coherence tomography (OCT) en face and IR reflectance. Inter-observer concordance was discovered to be high for both instruments. Nonetheless, there existed a high inter-instrument discordance. Hence, the gold standard imaging technique was yet to be identified for differentiating the different types of contraction in epiretinal membranes.
