IGF-1R mRNA expression is increased in obese children
Growth Hormone & IGF Research Nov 16, 2017
Ricco RC, et al. - The researchers investigated insulin-like growth factor type 1 receptor (IGF-IR) mRNA expression in obese children. They observed that the higher IGF-IR mRNA expression in obese children correlated with the higher IGF-I and ALS and the lower IGFBP-1 levels. Findings suggested that the higher stature observed in these children could be because of increased IGF-I bioactivity.
