Oka K, et al. – This work meant to elucidate IgA1 dominant subclass of latent IgA mesangial deposition in donated kidney. There appeared similar patterns of latent mesangial IgA deposition according to IgA subclass and frequency of C3 deposition as immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN). As per the findings, to become clinically apparent as IgAN, latent mesangial IgA deposition seemed to require some, as yet undefined factors.
