Identification of a correlation between the sonographic appearance and molecular subtype of invasive breast cancer: A review of 311 cases
Clinical Imaging Oct 27, 2018
Wu T, et al. - Researchers sought ultrasound and clinical features related to the different molecular subtypes of invasive breast cancer via retrospectively reviewing sonographic and clinical data of 311 surgically confirmed breast cancer cases. Outcomes revealed different ultrasound features for different subtypes of breast cancer. Luminal B (LB) human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2−) and LB (HER2+) subtypes displayed no marked statistical difference. The imaging findings and biological implications may assist in clinical practice.
