Diercks GR, et al. - This paper determine if the hypoglossal nerve stimulation was safe and effective in children with Down syndrome (DS). This approach was discovered to be well tolerated and effective. It reflected as a potential therapeutic option for patients with DS and refractory obstructive sleep apnea after adenotonsillectomy, in those who were unable to tolerate positive pressure airway devices.
