Hypermethylation of DcR1, DcR2, DR4, DR5 gene promoters and clinical significance in tongue carcinoma
American Journal of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Medicine and Surgery Nov 21, 2019
Zhou Y, et al. - Researchers conducted this investigation to explore the correlation of methylation of DcR1, DcR2, DR4 and DR5 gene promoters and clinical significance in the tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC), one of the most common malignancies in the oral cavity, to assess the link between methylation of DcR1, DcR2, DR4 and DR5 gene and Clinical Significance in TSCC. They used methylation-specific PCR(MSP) to investigate the methylation of the promoters of TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand) receptors in 45 TSCC cases. To detect the expression of the DcR1, DcR2, DR4 and DR5 gene, Real-Time PCR was utilized. According to results, TSCC finds methylation of promoters DcR1, DcR2, DR4 and DR5 and may be correlated with its occurrence and development. Considering methylation reversibility, methylation is a potential targeted TSCC therapy.
