Human papillomavirus genotype and viral load agreement between paired first-void urine and clinician-collected cervical samples
European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases Feb 23, 2018

Based on the findings, they highly preferred first-void urine as specimen for the detection of HPV DNA. It was a non-invasive method that ensured good agreement in HPV DNA (copies) with reference cervical samples. To reach non-participants, this screening technique seemed particularly interesting.
