Human adipose tissue-derived stem cells inhibit the activity of keloid fibroblasts and fibrosis in a keloid model by paracrine signaling

Burns Evidence based | Oct 15, 2017

Liu J, et al. - The aim of this work was to determine the influence of adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ASCs) on angiogenesis, extracellular matrix deposition, and inflammatory cell influx in keloids. Findings revealed that ASCs had an association with the inhibition of fibrosis in keloids by a paracrine effect. In the clinical environment, this phenomenon could be used as a therapeutic approach
