Harris AS, et al. - This trial contemplated the benefits of preoperative computed tomography in speculating the histological invasion of the thyroid. the results unveiled that preoperative computed tomography was an effective method for ruling out thyroid gland invasion. The absence of extralaryngeal spread on computed tomography was the most significant finding, with a high negative predictive value and a narrow 95% CI.
