HIV-associated chronic lung disease in children and adolescents in Zimbabwe: Chest radiographic and high-resolution computed tomography findings

Desai SR, et al. - Authors performed this study to assess the radiological features of chronic lung disease in children aged 6 to 16 years taking antiretroviral therapy for at least six months in Harare, Zimbabwe. The high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) findings strongly suggest that obliterative bronchiolitis may be the major cause of chronic lung disease in the study cohort. They highlighted the urgent necessity for further studies to understand the pathogenesis and natural history.
