Histone deacetylase-2 expression and activity in children with nephrotic syndrome with different glucocorticoid response

Pediatric Nephrology Jan 29, 2018

Guan FJ, et al. - Researchers sought to evaluate the correlation between histone deacetylase-2 (HDAC2) and glucocorticosteroid (GC) resistance in primary nephrotic syndrome (PNS) children. They found in those patients, the HDAC2 expression and activity had an impact on the GC effect, resulting in decreased serum interleukin-8 levels. HDAC2 seemed to be one of the markers of GC resistance in children with PNS.
