High Tiam1 expression predicts positive lymphatic metastasis and worse survival in patients with malignant solid tumors: A systematic review and meta-analysis
OncoTargets and Therapy Jul 31, 2019
Yang C, et al. - Via this meta-analysis of 17 studies including 2,228 patients with solid tumors, researchers systematically evaluated the prognostic significance factor 1 (Tiam1) expression as well as its link with lymphatic metastasis in malignant solid tumors. The included studies were identified from PubMed, Web of Science and EMBASE databases (from inception up to October 2018). Findings revealed a significant association of high Tiam1 expression with shorter survival and positive lymphatic metastasis among the participants. Based on the findings, they concluded that Tiam1 may serve as an effective prognostic biomarker as well as an effective therapeutic target for malignant solid tumors.
