High school start time and migraine frequency in high school students
Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain Apr 28, 2019
Gelfand AA, et al. - Researchers performed this cross-sectional observational study of U.S. high schoolers with migraine to examine the correlation between high school start time and migraine frequency in these students. Using social media, they recruited 256 subjects in this analysis: 115 later group vs 141 earlier group. Comparison of the groups suggested no large effect of the high school start time on headache frequency in high schoolers with migraine. This study had high variance in headache days/month which suggests the necessity for a larger study to determine whether there might still be a small effect of starting high school at/after 8:30 AM.
