High-intensity interval training vs continuous training on physiological and metabolic variables in prediabetes and type 2 diabetes: A meta-analysis

De Nardi AT, et al. - Researchers performed this meta-analysis to compare the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) vs moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) on functional capacity and cardiometabolic markers in individuals prediabetes and type 2 diabetes (T2D). Cardiometabolic adaptations were induced by HIIT, which was similar to those of MICT in prediabetes and T2D. It also provided greater benefits to functional capacity among individuals with T2D.
