High-frequency ultrasonography in objective evaluation of the efficacy of PUVA and UVA 1 phototherapy in mycosis fungoides
Archives of Dermatological Research Aug 16, 2017
Polanska A, et al. – The bi–fold purpose of this study was to gauge the effectiveness of UVA1 and PUVA therapy in patients with mycosis fungoides (MF) and to analyze the high–frequency ultrasonography (HF–USG) to monitor the clinical response of such patients. Skin ultrasonography aided in monitoring the therapeutic response in the study cohort. HF–USG could quantify response, thereby yielding an objective measure of response corresponding closely to the scoring systems such as modified Severity Weighted Assessment Tool (mSWAT) used in routine clinical practice.
