High expression of ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 is associated with poor prognosis in endometrial cancer patients
International Journal of Gynecological Cancer May 01, 2018
Nakao K, et al. - Researchers assessed the prognostic significance of ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) in endometrial cancer. Using quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry, they determined the expression of UCHL1 in endometrial cancer in 56 and 215 resected tumor specimens, respectively. High UCHL1 expression was noted to be a strong marker of poor prognosis of endometrial cancer. In addition, findings inferred UCHL1 could be involved in the development of distant metastasis in endometrial cancer.
