High expression of ALPPL2 is associated with poor prognosis in gastric cancer
Human Pathology Mar 14, 2019
Liu S, et al. - Given the correlation of alkaline phosphatase placental-like 2 (ALPPL2), a member of the ALPP alkaline phosphatase family, with the growth of some tumors, researchers investigated ALPPL2 expression in gastric adenocarcinoma. Further, they determined its ability to predict prognosis. Results revealed significantly increased expression of ALPPL2 in gastric adenocarcinoma. It was identified to be an independent factor that could provide reliable prognostic information on gastric adenocarcinoma patients. They noted advanced TNM stage and high HER-2 expression in correlation with high expression of ALPPL2.
