High exposure to endotoxin in farming is associated with less new-onset pollen sensitisation

Elholm G, et al. – This study assessed longitudinal impact of quantitatively evaluated endotoxin exposures on alterations in specific allergen sensitisation in young adults. Independent of childhood farm exposure, high endotoxin exposure during young adulthood seemed to protect against new onset of pollen sensitisation.
