High blood neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio associated with poor outcomes in miliary tuberculosis
Journal of Thoracic Disease Feb 06, 2018
Lee JH, et al. - It was hypothesized that blood neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is an indicator of inflammatory status to reflect independent prognostic significance in patients with miliary tuberculosis (TB). In order to test this hypothesis, the link between NLR and outcome in miliary TB was investigated. Findings suggested that in patients with miliary TB, pre-treatment NLR at admission may be a useful biomarker for mortality and development of acute respiratory distress syndrome.
