Sakr M, et al. - The purpose of this work was to contemplate the thyroid autotransplantation as an alternative to subtotal thyroidectomy and replacement therapy, in patients with benign thyroid disorders. The euthyroid status was restored in 33.3% of patients after 12 months via thyroid autotransplantation. The findings revealed the potential role of age, operative time, and ^99mTc-uptake in identifying the final graft outcome.
